Preview: St. Agnes Academy vs. Incarnate Word
St. Agnes Academy has been on the road for five straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Incarnate Word Shamrocks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully St. Agnes Academy is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Texas (they are ranked 127th, while Incarnate Word is ranked 431st).
In what's become a running theme this season, St. Agnes Academy gave their fans yet another huge win back in January. They never let Incarnate Word onto the board and left with a 7-0 win. While fans of St. Agnes Academy might be used to big wins, the seven-goal margin marked the team's biggest victory yet this season.
St. Agnes Academy now has a winning record of 3-2-1. As for Incarnate Word, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10-1 record this season.
St. Agnes Academy took their victory against Incarnate Word in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 7-0. Does St. Agnes Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Incarnate Word turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
