Basketball Recap: Victory Christian Academy Skates Past Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Victory Christian Academy). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis Crusaders 53-12. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Victory Christian Academy found their leader in freshman Charlotte Buettner, who posted 21 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Buettner has scored at least a third of Victory Christian Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Albrey Jett, who had 12 points.

The win got Victory Christian Academy back to even at 3-3. As for Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Victory Christian Academy will face off against Eagle Ridge Christian at 5:00 p.m. on January 21st. Victory Christian Academy's defense has only allowed 28.8 points per game this season, so Eagle Ridge Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them. Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis has already played their next game (against Thomas Jefferson School), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
