Paraclete has gone a perfect 3-0 against Desert Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Spirits will welcome the Knights at 3:15 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Wednesday.
Desert Christian will be up against a hot Paraclete team: the squad just extended their winning streak to six. The Spirits blew past Littlerock 10-3 on Tuesday.

Carlo Ramirez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has become a key player for Paraclete: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most two hits, but 11-12 otherwise. Ramirez was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Armando Saucedo and Noah Schneir did most of the damage at the plate: Saucedo went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Schneir went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Schneir is becoming a predictor of Paraclete's success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is undefeated (and 11-13 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Espindola, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
Paraclete kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Desert Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Everything went their way against Valley Torah on Monday as they made off with a 12-2 win.
Like Paraclete, Desert Christian also got a great game from a two-way player: Logan Mount. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). Mount has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Seth Zeko, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Andrew Silva was another key player, earning two runs and two stolen bases.
Paraclete pushed their record up to 14-13 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Desert Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8-2.
Paraclete beat Desert Christian 13-8 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Do the Spirits have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
