Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats on Tuesday. Gresham Community narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Northland Lutheran 3-2. Surprisingly, this marked Gresham Community's fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Gresham Community who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 19-25, 25-23, 17-25, 15-9.

Emily Jensen paced Gresham Community's offense, picking up 11 kills. Jensen got some help from Addison Fischer and her 12 assists. Grace Haffner controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Gresham Community's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Northland Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
