Baseball Recap: Caston Has No Trouble Against North Judson-San Pierre

Caston won the last time they faced North Judson-San Pierre and things went their way on Saturday too. The Comets put the hurt on the Bluejays with a sharp 16-6 win. Considering the Comets have won four matchups by more than nine runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Carson Harness was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

In other batting news, Eli Holloway was a standout: he got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Logan Mollenkopf, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Caston's record is now 6-3. As for North Judson-San Pierre, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Caston beat the Bluejays by a score of 2-0 later that day.
