The Eagles came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 5-2 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Skowhegan's offense. They lost 10-0 to Oxford Hills on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the River Hawks in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost four in a row.

Messalonskee's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Skowhegan, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

Messalonskee took their win against Skowhegan when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 15-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
