Soccer Game Preview: Saraland vs. Elberta

The Saraland Spartans will challenge the Elberta Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Saraland has four straight wins, Elberta has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Saraland barely beat Baldwin County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Spartans never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory last Wednesday. The score was close at halftime, but Saraland pulled away in the second half with two goals.

Meanwhile, Elberta came up short against Orange Beach last Thursday and fell 3-1.

Elberta's loss dropped their record down to 4-10-2. As for Saraland, their win bumped their record up to 12-1-3.

Saraland beat Elberta 3-1 in their previous matchup back in February of 2019. Will the Spartans repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
