After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Providence Academy, Greeneville was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Elizabethton Fighting Cyclones a 3-0 shutout. Greeneville might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by three goals or more this season.

Greeneville moved to 4-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Elizabethton, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greeneville will welcome Grainger at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give Greeneville their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Elizabethton, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Sullivan East at 7:00 p.m. Elizabethton will be up against Sullivan East's rather soft defense (which has allowed four goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
