Volleyball Recap: Geraldine Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Geraldine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the West Point Warriors. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Warriors when the teams met back in September of 2020, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-7, 25-11.

Karlie Baker paced Geraldine's offense, picking up four kills. Baker got some help from Kennedy Mayfield and her five assists.

West Point was led to victory by Patton Fell and Bella Thornton. Fell had ten assists and three aces, while Thornton had ten assists. That's the most assists Thornton has posted over her last 13 games.

Geraldine's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for West Point, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-11 record this season.

Geraldine didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Fyffe on the 9th. As for West Point, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Russellville on the 9th.
