Baseball Game Preview: Christian Brothers Cadets vs. Gateway Legacy Christian Academy Lions

The Christian Brothers Cadets will challenge the Gateway Legacy Christian Academy Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Christian Brothers barely beat Gateway Legacy Christian Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cadets never let the Lions get on the board and left with an 8-0 win on Tuesday. The Cadets haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Michael Sievers looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Christian Brothers is 3-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 5-7 otherwise.

At the plate, Brady Rallo was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Braden Schreimann, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one double.

Gateway Legacy Christian Academy's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-13. As for Christian Brothers, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
