Volleyball Recap: Citrus Valley Takes a Loss

Citrus Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Poly Bears, falling 3-0. The Blackhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Citrus Valley was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-15, 25-22.

Delaney Allo paced Citrus Valley's offense, picking up five kills. Allo got some help from Vanessa Stallone and her five assists.

Citrus Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Poly, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Citrus Valley will challenge Grand Terrace at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Poly, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Rim of the World on the 14th.
