Archbishop McCarthy saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 69-58 to Gaston Christian. While losing is never fun, the Mavericks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 152nd in Florida, while the Eagles are ranked 14th in North Carolina).

Meanwhile, Episcopal School of Jacksonville came up short against DeLand on Saturday and fell 57-48. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Episcopal School of Jacksonville now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Archbishop McCarthy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
