The St. Martinville Tigers will venture away from home to  challenge the Church Point Bears  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. Church Point took a loss in their last  match and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Martinville, who comes in off a win.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers  on Wednesday. St. Martinville never let Opelousas get on the board and left with  a   15-0  win. The  game marked St. Martinville's most dominant  victory of the  season.
 Rylin Savoy was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-low in  walks (zero). He was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring four  runs and  stealing  Three bases. while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance gave  him a new career-high in  stolen bases.
 In other batting news, St. Martinville let  Ashlon Smith and  Logan Bienvenu run wild. Smith  scored two  runs and  stole  Three bases. while going 2-for-3, while  Bienvenu  scored three  runs and  stole  Four bases. while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances. With that strong performance,  Smith is now averaging an impressive 1.1  stolen bases per game. Another player making a difference was  Kamryn Leblanc, who  scored two  runs and  stole  Two bases. while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.
Meanwhile,  after a string of four wins, Church Point's good fortune finally ran out  on Thursday. They fell  8-4 to Pine Prairie.
  Luke Baudoin was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances. He has been hot, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last five times he's  played.
 St. Martinville pushed their record up to 8-12 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Church Point, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.
Friday's   contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. St. Martinville has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .433. However, it's not like Church Point struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .450. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 St. Martinville might still be hurting after the  10-2 defeat they got from Church Point  when the teams last played  back in February of 2024. Can St. Martinville avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
