Croatan came into Friday's game looking for another win against West Carteret, but Jack Bell wouldn't allow it. The West Carteret Patriots secured an 82-77 W over the Croatan Cougars on Friday thanks to Bell, who went 13-for-22 to rack up 36 points and six rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 45.1% shooting accuracy.
Cameron Pavy was another key player, going 8-for-15 en route to 20 points and five steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Carteret will venture away from home to face off against Swansboro at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Swansboro will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something West Carteret surely won't give up without a fight. As for Croatan, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cougars face off against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Richlands has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
