Softball Recap: Waverly Takes a Loss

Waverly lost against Portsmouth West on April 7th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Tigers fell just short of the Senators by a score of 4-3. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Emma Nesser made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Waverly's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Portsmouth West, they pushed their record up to 8-6-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Waverly will head out on the road to take on Chillicothe at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers are facing the Cavaliers at the right time seeing as the Cavaliers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Portsmouth West, they will be playing at home against Gallia Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
