Baseball Recap: Hobart Brickies vs. Portage Indians
Hobart had lost four straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped their record down to 6-7 to make it five. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Portage Indians. The Brickies were not able to make up for their loss to the Indians from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Zach Terek was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Hobart saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayme Hairston, who went 2-for-3 with one double.
