Baseball Recap: Broad Run Sets Scoring Season-High Against Rock Ridge

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Broad Run). They blew past the Rock Ridge Phoenix 20-4 on Wednesday. Considering the Spartans' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

The victory snapped Broad Run's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-4 record. As for Rock Ridge, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Rock Ridge will head out to square off against Park View at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Broad Run will be paying especially close attention to the Phoenix's game: after the Phoenix faces off against Dominion, they'll take on Broad Run again at 6:30 p.m. on May 1.
