Soccer Recap: Western Guilford Takes a Loss

Western Guilford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 9-0 to the Northwest Guilford Vikings. While losing is never fun, Western Guilford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 360th, while Northwest Guilford are ranked 20th).

Western Guilford's loss dropped their record down to 4-10-1. As for Northwest Guilford, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Western Guilford is set to face off against their familiar foe Southwest Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Northwest Guilford will square off against rival Grimsley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
