Basketball Recap: Springfield Falls to Sublette in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Springfield unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Sublette Larks on Thursday, falling 74-34. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Springfield's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Coltin Woodhouse, who went 5-for-7 on his way to 13 points, and Rhett Bray, who posted seven points along with six rebounds and three blocks.

Sublette's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jonathan Froese, who shot 50% from the field en route to 13 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Koehn, who went 6-for-11 to rack up 12 points.

The win got Sublette back to even at 1-1.

Springfield has already played their next game, a 53-15 victory against South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] on the 6th. As for Sublette, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 79-44 win against Holly on the 6th.
