The Don Bosco Prep Ironmen are on the road again and plays the Ridgewood Maroons at 4:15 p.m. on February 13th. One thing working in Don Bosco Prep's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 14 matches.
Last Saturday, Don Bosco Prep strolled past Northern Highlands with points to spare, taking the game 63-49. Given Don Bosco Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while Northern Highlands is ranked 27th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Ridgewood didn't have too much trouble with Bergenfield on the road on Saturday as they won 68-50. The win made it back-to-back wins for Ridgewood.
Don Bosco Prep is on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season. As for Ridgewood, their victory bumped their record up to 16-6.
Don Bosco Prep strolled past Ridgewood when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a score of 61-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Don Bosco Prep since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
