Baseball Recap: Memphis Business Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Douglass last Wednesday, Memphis Business Academy came back down to earth. Memphis Business Academy fell 9-4 to the KIPP Collegiate phoenix on Wednesday. The Execs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the phoenix apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Norris Thomas was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1.

Memphis Business Academy now has a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Memphis Business Academy will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Overton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Memphis Business Academy's pitchers better be ready for this one: Overton has averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season. As for KIPP Collegiate, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Douglass at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
