Soccer Recap: Incarnate Word Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Incarnate Word came into Friday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the TMI-Episcopal Panthers on Friday. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Shamrocks were the better team in the second half.

Claire Hernandez and Analisa Menchaca scored all three of Incarnate Word's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 26 goals.

Incarnate Word's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 7-11-1. As for TMI-Episcopal, they now have a losing record at 3-4-1.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Antonian Prep the next time they take the pitch. Incarnate Word will host Antonian Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while TMI-Episcopal will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on February 11th.
