Volleyball Recap: Wake Christian Academy Picks Up Tenth Straight Win at Home

Wake Christian Academy had won nine straight home games dating back to last season and Evann Curry did her part to make it ten on Tuesday. The Bulldogs walked away with a 3-1 win over the Cary Academy Chargers thanks in part to Curry, who had 13 digs and four aces. She has been hot, having posted 12 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Wake Christian Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-17, 25-12, 25-21.

Wake Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Cary Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wake Christian Academy will venture away from home to take on North Raleigh Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cary Academy, they will head out to square off against Thales Academy Apex at 5:45 p.m. on Monday.
