Clio hadn't done well against Goodrich recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Mustangs came out on top against the Martians by a score of 8-5. The win was familiar territory for the Mustangs, who have now won five matchups in a row.

Addie Taylor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up 13 Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ashlyn LaFreniere, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted over her last eight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Evey Wagner, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Clio hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Goodrich struck out 13 times.

Clio's record now sits at 16-1. As for Goodrich, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 12-7 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Clio will venture away from home to face off against Flushing at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.3 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Goodrich, they are taking a road trip to take on Kearsley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
