Baseball Game Preview: Alamance Christian Warriors vs. Cramerton Christian Academy Crusaders

The Alamance Christian Warriors are taking a road trip to face off against the Cramerton Christian Academy Crusaders at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Alamance Christian has given up an average of 10.8 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Alamance Christian came up short against Faith Christian on Tuesday, falling 28-3.

Meanwhile, Cramerton Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Tabernacle Christian a 7-0 shutout. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by seven runs or more this season.

Coleman Dewey was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cooper Curell, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Chaz Dixon, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Alamance Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Cramerton Christian Academy, their record now sits at 5-0.

Alamance Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Cramerton Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 6-3. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Crusaders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
