Section extended their losing streak to five on Thursday, dropping them down to 7-15. They lost 15-3 to the Pisgah Eagles. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Section saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Piercen Saint, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

As for Pisgah, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-9. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Pisgah's side, Brooks Garrett made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Garrett has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Ross Smith was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and two runs. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jackson Smalley, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pisgah beat Section by a score of 8-7 on Friday.
