Hampden waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Belfast Lions. That's two games straight that the Broncos have won by exactly three runs.

The team relied heavily on Rogan Lord, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Allen, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Hampden kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Hampden's record is now 6-2. As for Belfast, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.

Looking ahead, Hampden will square off against Brewer at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Belfast, they will challenge Lincoln Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
