Volleyball Recap: Unioto Now 11-1 over Last 12 Games

Unioto won the last time they faced Paint Valley and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Shermans put the hurt on the Bearcats with a sharp 3-0 victory.

One reason for the win was Unioto's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-12, 25-7.

Unioto's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ellie Depoy, who had six digs and four aces. That's the most aces Depoy has posted over her last eight contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiley Puckett, who had six digs and four aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Unioto was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Unioto is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Paint Valley, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Unioto didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Southeastern on the 25th. As for Paint Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Lynchburg-Clay on the 24th.
