Football Recap: Hillcrest Patriots vs. Daphne Trojans
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hillcrest can now relate to. They lost 26-6 to the Daphne Trojans on Tuesday. The Patriots just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.
Daphne was led to victory by Aubrey Gregg and Dasia Matt. Gregg threw for 200 yards and two touchdowns on only 19 passes, while Matt gained 80 total yards and two touchdowns. Matt got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 56 yards. Abby Johnson did her part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 93 receiving yards.
Hillcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Daphne, the victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
As of now, neither Hillcrest nor Daphne have any future games scheduled.
