Football Recap: South Wake Comes Up Short

South Wake had lost seven straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-8 to make it eight. They were outmatched by the North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights and fell 45-0. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 49-0 to the Knights when the teams met back in August of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 5-4. That looming 45-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Davin McCoy produced another solid performance rushing for 159 yards and three TDs. He didn't just play on offense: he also made ten total tackles and defended one pass.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. South Wake will face off against SouthLake Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.33 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, they will challenge Ravenscroft at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights will be up against the Ravens' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.22 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
