Baseball Game Preview: Brewer Patriots vs. West Morgan Rebels

Brewer is 1-9 against West Morgan since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Brewer Patriots will welcome the West Morgan Rebels at 4:30 p.m.

Brewer had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Priceville put an end to it on Thursday. Brewer lost 12-1 to Priceville. The contest marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, West Morgan can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They put the hurt on Hatton with a sharp 10-3 victory. That looming 10-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Rebels yet this season.

Levi Borden made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. He was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Tyler Stalls was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Stephens, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3.

Brewer's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for West Morgan, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.

Brewer came up short against West Morgan in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, falling 7-4. Can Brewer avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
