St. Benedict at Auburndale came tearing into Friday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Oxford Chargers as they made off with a 10-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won six contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Madison Young was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Sadie Quinteros was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Zoie Bernard was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

St. Benedict at Auburndale was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oxford only posted a batting average of .231.

St. Benedict at Auburndale's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Oxford, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
