After having lost a blowout in their previous game against West Stanly, Anson was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Chesterfield Golden Rams by a score of 7-3. This was a revenge game for the Bearcats: when they faced off against the Golden Rams on March 4th, they had to take a 15-5 loss.

The win snapped Anson's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-7 record. As for Chesterfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Anson will head out to challenge West Stanly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Stanly's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Anson's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Chesterfield, they are taking a road trip to square off against Buford at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Buford will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Chesterfield surely won't give up without a fight.
