Volleyball Recap: Excelsior Springs Comes Up Short

Excelsior Springs lost against Bishop LeBlond back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Tigers fell 2-0 to the Eagles.

While Excelsior Springs was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-22.

Jordin Price paced Excelsior Springs' offense, picking up five kills. Price got some help from Lillah Shue and her seven assists.

Excelsior Springs has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15-1 record this season. As for Bishop LeBlond, they pushed their record up to 22-4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Excelsior Springs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-1 tie against Benton on the 11th. As for Bishop LeBlond, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Pembroke Hill on the 11th.
