Softball Recap: Northridge Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Worthington Kilbourne, Northridge was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Tree of Life Christian Trojans with a sharp 22-12 win. The Vikings not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 24, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Josie Van Fossen, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-6. Cheyann Severance was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her six plate appearances.

Northridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Northridge's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Looking ahead, Northridge will square off against Franklin Heights at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Tree of Life Christian, they will face off against Whitehall-Yearling at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
