Wheeling had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Lake Forest Scouts. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win the Scouts walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2019.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Wheeling got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 18-25, 25-23.

Wheeling's victory bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Lake Forest, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 17 of their last 18 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-22 record this season.

Wheeling will take on Elk Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake Forest, they will face off against Waukegan at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
