Softball Recap: Forest Hills Rangers vs. Bellefonte Raiders
On Friday Forest Hills's undefeated season almost came to an end. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Bellefonte Raiders 3-1. Those three runs were actually the fewest the Rangers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.
Avery Smiach spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 13 Ks. Those 13 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
