Preview: Rushville Lions vs. Delta Eagles
Rushville is 0-4 against Delta since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Rushville Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Delta Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Rushville is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
Last Thursday, Rushville came up short against Batesville and fell 44-36. Rushville has struggled against Batesville recently, as their match on Thursday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Quentin Cain, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Apodaca, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Delta didn't have too much trouble with New Castle on the road on Thursday as they won 60-45. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Delta.
Rushville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Delta, their victory bumped their record up to 15-6.
Rushville was dealt a bruising 79-45 defeat at the hands of Delta in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Rushville, Blake Jones (who scored 12 points along with two steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
