Recap: Rockwall Yellowjackets vs. Wylie Pirates
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Rockwall Yellowjackets walked away with it. They blew past Wylie, posting a 50-10 win at home. The victory was familiar territory for Rockwall who now have nine in a row.
Ashten Emory continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 170 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 carries. Emory was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 57 yards. Rockwall also got help from Tristan Gooch who showed off his sure hands for 85 receiving yards.
Rockwall's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25.7 points. As for Wylie, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.
Rockwall will square off against Waxahachie at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Waxahachie is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games. Wylie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
