Volleyball Recap: Pecatonica Takes a Loss

Pecatonica was the 2-0 winner over Orangeville when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians fell 2-0 to the Broncos on Tuesday. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pecatonica might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Orangeville: every set was decided by exactly two points. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-23.

Ryleigh Alexander paced Pecatonica's offense, picking up nine kills. Alexander got some help from Sophie Fitzanko and her nine assists. Sam Cobb controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Pecatonica's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Orangeville, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-6.

Pecatonica has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Forreston on the 18th. As for Orangeville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Lena-Winslow on the 18th.
