Softball Recap: Clayton Valley Charter Has No Trouble Against College Park

Clayton Valley Charter barely beat College Park the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Ugly Eagles were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Falcons on Tuesday. Considering the Ugly Eagles have won five matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Camdyn Alton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on nine hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Anja Perreira, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Jana Rosas also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Clayton Valley Charter was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in four consecutive games.

Clayton Valley Charter's win bumped their record up to 9-5-1. As for College Park, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-8-1.

Clayton Valley Charter wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-2 victory against Northgate on the 24th. As for College Park, they have also already played their next matchup, a 7-6 loss against Benicia on the 24th.
