Baseball Game Preview: Winneconne Wolves vs. Ripon Tigers

The Winneconne Wolves will face off against the Ripon Tigers at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Winneconne will be strutting in after a victory while Ripon will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Winneconne turned things around against Iola-Scandinavia on Friday. They skirted past the Thunderbirds 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wolves have posted since May 14, 2024.

Winneconne saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colson Kleinschmidt, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave Kleinschmidt a new career-high. Logan Binder also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Ripon came up short against Laconia on Monday and fell 6-2. The Tigers have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Winneconne's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Ripon, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
