Soccer Recap: Firebaugh Comes Up Short

Firebaugh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gahr Gladiators. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 969th, while the Gladiators are ranked 255th).

Firebaugh's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10-1. As for Gahr, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-3-1.

Firebaugh will head out to take on Mayfair at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gahr, they will challenge La Mirada at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Gahr is facing La Mirada at the right time seeing as La Mirada is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
