Soccer Recap: Edison Comes Up Short

Edison scored the most goals they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 5-1 to the Varela Vipers. Edison were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Varela apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Varela, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Edison will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Killian at 2:00 p.m. on December 1. Edison will be up against Killian's rather soft defense (which has allowed 7.43 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Varela will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Coral Park at 2:00 p.m. on December 3. Varela are facing Coral Park at the right time seeing as Coral Park are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
