Preview: Ludlowe Falcons vs. Warde Mustangs
After each having a week off, the Ludlowe Falcons and the Warde Mustangs will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 10:00 a.m. on November 23rd. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Two weeks ago, Ludlowe was beaten by Wilton 63-22. Ludlowe has not had much luck with Wilton recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Ludlowe's loss came about despite a quality game from Justin Toothaker, who picked up 86 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought game, but Warde had to settle for a 16-14 defeat against Norwalk two weeks ago. Warde has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 6-3.
Ludlowe beat Warde 28-15 in their previous meeting back in November of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ludlowe since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
