Chris Rodriguez posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Thursday. He struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. He was dominant the last time he took on Bremen on Monday, so they probably should've seen this coming. Rodriguez has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Rodriguez and Thornton Fractional South will be playing at home against Rich Township at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Red Wolves are a perfect 5-0 against the Raptors going back to April of 2018, a lead they'll look to extend.
