Baseball Recap: Regents Knights vs. Brentwood Christian Bears
Regents won the last time they faced Brentwood Christian and things went their way on Thursday too. The Knights blew past the Bears 11-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.
Jack Buerkle made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and not a single walk). Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Regents is 5-1 when Buerkle posts two or more runs, but 0-5 otherwise.
