Basketball Recap: Walkersville Find Success

After losing to Middletown the last time they met, Walkersville decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Walkersville Lions escaped with a win on Tuesday against the Middletown Knights by the margin of a single free throw, 38-37.

Walkersville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Liyana Goukoye, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Addison Boram, who posted 13 points and seven rebounds.

Walkersville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in six consecutive contests.
