Union Grove lost to Elite Scholars Academy back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Wolverines came out on top against the Royal Knights by a score of 2-0.

Union Grove not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Elite Scholars Academy between 20 and 21 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-20.

Union Grove's offense was headlined by Riley Bethea and Kylee Evans, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Sadie Peterson and her 22 assists. Bethea was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Union Grove's win bumped their record up to 12-3-1. As for Elite Scholars Academy, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Looking ahead, Union Grove will square off against Houston County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bears will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Wolverines surely won't give up without a fight. As for Elite Scholars Academy, they will take on Walker at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
