Baseball Recap: Frenchtown Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Frenchtown got themselves on the board against Ronan on Tuesday, but Ronan never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Chiefs with a sharp 19-0 victory. Fans of the Broncs have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Braxton Rodoni looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Dawson Rodoni, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Gabe Gibbs was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

The win (which was Frenchtown's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average this season. As for Ronan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Frenchtown will head out to take on St. Ignatius at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ronan, they will be playing at home against Florence-Carlton at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
